LoBstercon XXI - 5th to 8th November 2021
Updated: Sep 28, 2021
Well folks it's finally happening.
After much deliberation and COVID 19 planning we are ready to launch sales of hotel and gaming pass packages for LoBstercon XXI.
Some things have changed, but lots have not. Expect the same frenzy of boardgaming, just in a slightly more controlled, ventilated and distanced manner.
All attendees will need to purchase a weekend gaming/hotel room package
This will reduce the number of attendees by about 30% from the usual 130 or more.
Proof of double vaccination or (self-provided) daily testing will be required
Masks not required while gaming, but encouraged elsewhere in public areas
We will do our best to keep rooms ventilated – please dress accordingly
We’ll ensure tables are as widely spaced as possible
Hand sanitiser stations and a bag area will be provided, but not wipes
Game library limited to 4 people at once, with a one-way system
The raffle is on, but with a digital twist
No Dutch auction, mass social games or competitions this time
You can find full details of our COVID 19 policies and the changes for this LoBsterCon by followng this link or by clicking the COVID19 item in the menu above.
In the meantime, a little more about timing of releasing those packages. We plan to do this is a couple of waves, one on Monday 4th October and a second on Monday 11th October.
Monday 4th October (at noon UK time) we will release:
Double Rooms for double occupancy
Twin Rooms for double (or greater) occupancy; and
Single Rooms for single occupancy
Monday 11th October (at noon UK time) we will release:
Double Rooms for single occupancy; and
Twin Rooms for single occupancy
Allocation of specific rooms, floors, seaviews, balconies, jacuzzis etc.. will, wherever possible be, by stated preference in the note field of your order, but, in the case of a tie, pure chance will be employed.
No system is perfect, so we're really sorry if some glitch or techincality prevents you from getting exactly the room you want, we will do our best.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions, queries or you spot a logical fallacy in our reasoning. Also if you would like to volunteer for desk duty (noting the added responsibilities above), then please do get in touch.
We are so very much looking forward to seeing you all, and to those of you who don't make it this time for whatever reason, we'll see you at the next one we hope!
